Good points Cris:
Here a practical example between progress where we used " coordination " as the focus point .Versus "lactate tolerance.and "hard training .
We had 3 groups of 2o people . 1 control group who did nothing.2. group who were allowed to train 2 x a day over 30 min on PC. 3. group who trained 10 x 30 sec everyday. After 3weeks the result were for us surprising.
Biking 20 below LBP individually the group 3 ( 30 sec. ) were able to go more than double as long as group 2 . group 1 did no progress ( clear ).
If we checked Watt / body weight ratio , than there was again so that group 3 did better.
The Max power output was Body weight to ratio the same , but group 2 quite ( acid Pain ). and group 3 had mentally the same pain , but when we told them as in group 2 to concentrate in each tun more on pull or push , the coordination group could hold on longer. The absolute Lactate value compared with their max lactate on normal pedals were in the group 2 the same , but in group 3 we had surprisingly higher lactate values. Did they tolerated more , ore were they producing the same but in more different muscle groups. Did they had more guys working or some other changes.
I still agree with cris , that we can train the anaerobic part as well. I think the question is more , what is for the moment easier to make progress. 2. do I have the tyime to accomplish this changes ( Structure 0 Or do I have some time limits or age limits , so I have to work on cytochrome and other possibilities . ( Nowing , that this may disappaere faster than a strctural change. )
Thanks for all you inputs . I know it is difficult in a short statement to ask and fill out all the possibilities. but I know that a lot of Forum readers enjoy the way we for the moment discuss and slowly produce a picture , to distroy it in the next moment and repaint it in the next.
Have to go ( have to work once in a while too )
